The Vision
For years, Ellsworth County's young wrestlers have trained in borrowed gyms, cramped spaces, and makeshift facilities. That changes now.
We are raising $300,000 to construct a standalone wrestling training facility on a vacant lot in downtown Ellsworth ... transforming an empty space into a beacon of community growth and youth development.
This innovative, purpose-built facility will serve not just our club, but every wrestler in Ellsworth County for generations to come. It will bring families downtown, create pride of place, and prove that small communities can grow and prosper together.
An Innovative Investment in Youth
A dedicated wrestling home will give young people a consistent place to be active, build confidence, practice discipline and resilience, and find belonging through teammates, coaches, and community.
Wrestling helps young athletes develop healthy habits, physical fitness, perseverance, goal-setting, and respect—skills they can carry into school, relationships, and adulthood.
Nationwide high school girls wrestling participation reached a record 88,771 athletes in 2025–26, up from 74,064 the year before.
Source: NFHS participation report →The high school girls placed 17th with four state qualifiers, two placers, and a state finalist—and the entire team returns. The boys finished fifth with eight state qualifiers, four placers, and two state finalists.
ECKWC sent 12 wrestlers to the USAWKS Championships. Three girls brought home medals, highlighted by Sophie Homolka's state title.

About the Club
A community wrestling program dedicated to developing young athletes from beginner through competitive levels.
The Ellsworth County Kids Wrestling Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to developing young athletes through the sport of wrestling. We serve youth across Ellsworth County with youth programs ranging from beginner to competitive levels.
For decades we have operated out of borrowed and shared space at the high school. This campaign represents our community's commitment to giving the next generation of Ellsworth County wrestlers a permanent home.
